Throwback Thursday

It was my goal, this being International Dog Day, to post some images I’ve made of mans best friend over the years.

Alas, none could be found…

Not to be deterred, I searched and searched, until at least I could say I found a few reasonable facsimiles.

Yogi seems glad to see us.

Not at all menacing.

He kinda looks like a floppy-eared dog doesn’t he?

Throwback Thursday

It only seemed appropriate to post today in honor of World Photography Day. This group is from the not too distant past. It seemed a perfect time to share some images that were made for no other reason than just for fun. ..

Throwback Thursday

Through the years, photographers have often defined themselves by the gear they used. Early in my career, I’d often get questions like: “Where are the square pictures?”, “Do you use the ‘hass-lee-blad’?”, “Are you a ‘professional’ photographer?”

Ugh.

Advances in technology have made creating images more accessible and easier than ever. (I didn’t say “better” than ever…) Thus proving the dictum: “The best camera is the one you have with you”.

This group was made while on a trip to Savannah, GA a few years ago. I had a bag full of cameras but these were made with my iphone using the Hipstamatic and Snapseed apps.

Throwback Thursday

Some thoughts while wondering what ever happened to my 19 rolls of film that got lost in the mail several years ago… How far back is back? At what point in the night as it gets later and later, does it become earlier and earlier? At what point does looking back become more enjoyable than looking forward? Philosophers don’t have answers, only questions. Nice gig if you can get it…
